Jennifer has the type of passion and dedication to tango that I haven’t seen before. It’s so inspiring to me that she approaches it as a language and expression that’s for anyone at any time. In her classes, I’m experiencing a perfect balance of focused practice, connection and presence. She approaches every person in the room as an individual and with special attention, not only in a general way. I think she’s somebody for whom teaching will always stay a mission, an art form, her expression and her being. Christian IvanovI wouldn’t have tango in my life if it wasn’t for Jennifer. Not only is she a totally lovely person to be around, but she’s also a very knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated teacher. I’ve seen her work with just about every skill level of dancer now, and she seems to effortlessly be able to build a solid foundation for the beginners and add to the arsenal of the more experienced dancers. For me, dancing in general is something I don’t have much experience in, so I was not very confident when I first started. Jennifer has been super supportive and encouraging all throughout the process, and has created a community of other amazing tango dancers that often come through and each give some words of encouragement. Chaitanya KochharI took a 6 week intro to Argentine Tango with Jennfier and Jesus at Dancer University (on Pico Blvd, West LA). You can take her class there on Thursdays. She also hosts a Milonga (a Tango social) in Hollywood every 3rd Saturday of the month. The course is a good entry point for beginners. There is emphasis on technique and correctness without overwhelming newcomers and people with prior experience. She did a great job emphasizing lead and follow through novel exercises. Without wanting to disclose the details (take the class!!), it truly allows follows to experience leading and for leads to experience following. Most teachers focus on a pattern, but Jennifer devoted this programme to teaching us how to dance with another person. I think that is incredibly precious and awesome. As a teacher and person, she is warm, kind, earnest, and excited to share the joy of Tango with her students. She dances with all students and gives strong personal attention. She even helped me work through being self-conscious and my body issues. I am truly grateful for that ❤️ Eventually, I would like her to offer longer, more intense programmes (3-6 months for example). I would sign up for that in a heartbeat. Professora Jen broke down the fundamentals and helped me dance to the flow of the music. After a few classes, there was major improvement in my flow and confidence.
